Hi.  I’m Mandy Moore (‘mistywisp’).  Welcome to my site.  I use it to showcase and sell my fractal art.  This is where you’ll find my most recent work.

Fractal art is a brand new form of art that has been made possible by the development of computer technology.  Artists manipulate fractal objects to produce images or music.  My own passion is for the images that can be created by editing fractal flames.  I use Apophysis to do this.

Apophysis is a fractal flame editor developed originally by Mark Townsend.  It is Open Source software.  I discovered it in 2006 and have been hooked ever since!  There are mathematicians who understand how fractals are created and manipulated; they don’t include me!  I’m strictly an ‘end-user’ of the programme and my enjoyment comes from developing my own style of fractal art.

I’m a member of the deviantART community, an online community of artists which gets around 38 million visitors annually.  This is where the Apophysis crowd hangs out – the developers and users (like me).  You can access my site from the homepage, as well as the other places on the Internet where my work is displayed.  My deviantART gallery is the place to go for the most comprehensive collection of my work.

Thank you for visiting.  I hope you come back often: I update my work almost daily.
